Who we are

Next Novas is a small Malaysian studio building practical tools for everyday problems here. Tolong Alih is one of them.

Your data

We hold your email, phone number and the plates you register. Your number exists only so a driver can be reached when the app cannot reach them, and is never shown to another user. Location confirms you are in Malaysia and tailors the app to where you are; coordinates are never shown to other drivers.

Ask and we will export everything we hold on you, or delete your account outright.

The four words

Every action in Tolong Alih is one of four. We use the same word everywhere so nobody has to guess what a button does.

• Declare — you have double-parked and boxed someone in. Pick the car you are driving, type the plate you are blocking, say how long you will be. If that plate is registered, its owner is alerted within seconds. If it is not, nothing is wasted: they can still find you by tracing.
• Clear — you have moved your car. Tap it and the other driver is told they are free. We never ask them to confirm, because they might be a street away having lunch and waiting for their tap would leave you stuck.
• Flag — the opposite case. They marked it cleared, you walk out, the car is still there. Flag reopens the block, tells them to move, and records it against them. Repeat offenders are how we find people abusing this.
• Trace — you are boxed in and got no alert, because your plate is not registered. Enter their plate and yours, and if a matching block is open we connect you. Both plates are required on purpose: it means the only person who can look up a car is someone genuinely standing behind it, so this can never become a plate-lookup service.
